Richard Cooke
Richard’s dogs think he hung the moon. This may be a bit of a stretch, but he has spent years working in the aerospace industry, successful business owner and electrical engineer.
He started On Set Electrics after speaking with a friend in the film business and hearing his frustration over not being able to get the power solutions he requires. Richard drilled him with a million questions and realized he could design the products. And he did.
Have any great ideas for a product? Richard would love to talk to you.

"I love the 610Duo for a few reasons. First, it outputs 12VDC and 24VDC simultaneously, 2 ports for each. Having that kind of flexibility available in a single battery keeps my DIT cart up and running no matter what type of equipment a job calls for. Plus, the voltage stays constant as the battery life tires. Second, it acts as an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) for the Power Slice when AC power is unavailable. Thus, I can expect really long battery life for my equipment. Third, it has a small footprint. I need each element of my cart to be as light as possible, so I maximize its utility without it getting unreasonably heavy. I typically use a laptop for jobs, so the 610Duo, at 19lbs, is a great substitute for a 45lb rack mounted UPS! Also, I can quickly pull the battery off of my main cart and use it with my mobile DIT rig. Last, its battery charger is built into the battery, so it's charged with a single power cable! I consider this an essential piece of gear for me on set."
