DESCRIPTION

The 610Duo is a high-power portable battery using a 41AHr internal LiFePO4 battery pack. The 610Duo comes standard with multiple simultaneous voltage outputs, a 24VDC nominal voltage output and a regulated 14VDC voltage output.

The 610Duo is the first block battery designed with a built-in battery charger. No need to carry an external charger. As soon as AC power is plugged in, the internal battery will be charged by the medical grade AC/DC power supply at a maximum current of 9A resulting in a total charge time of less than 2.7 hours. The outputs are powered by the charger circuit, so if the power required is less than 9A, they can run for as long as the AC is plugged in.

BATTERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (BMS)

The BMS is an in-house designed and built circuit to capture key battery parameters such as voltage, current, and temperature to maintain the internal battery pack health and safety. The system allows the AC to be left plugged in indefinitely so the battery will not be overcharged or damaged.

The BMS measures the battery pack temperature and turns off current if the temperature is outside of safe limits. Acceptable charging temperature range is: +32F to 113F (0C to 45C). Acceptable discharging temperature range is: +14F to +131F (-10C to +55C). Normal operation will resume once the temperature returns to a safe level.

BATTERY STATUS DISPLAY

The quad-mode Battery Status Display is unique to the 610Duo. The screen will display four different properties of the internal battery. These are Voltage, Current in/out, Amp-Hours remaining, and Percentage of remaining charge. The internal electronics contain a coulomb counter which tracks the actual current flow into and out of the battery. This is the most accurate method of tracking the actual state of charge in the battery.

INTERNAL BATTERY PROTECTION

The 610Duo is protected from short circuit and overload conditions by multiple internal circuit features as well as the AC input fuse and the battery charger fuse (not user-accessible). If a short circuit occurs and the internal protection feature is tripped, the system will shut down. Unplug all outputs and connect the AC power. This will reset the system back to normal operation.

ON/OFF BUTTON MODES
